Earned Income Tax
The current local Earned Income Tax (EIT) rate is 1% and is distributed equally between the Township and the Seneca Valley School District. The EIT is collected by an appointed tax collector, Berkheimer.

A flat Local Services Tax (LST) of $26 per year is levied on residents with annual income over $12,000 per year. It is also collected by Berkheimer.

Volunteer Service Tax Credit Program
Jackson Township has established a Volunteer Service Tax Credit program for active members of volunteer fire companies and non-profit emergency medical service agencies pursuant to Act 172 of 2016. Each active volunteer who has met the program criteria and eligibility guidelines shall be eligible to receive a tax credit of up to $250 toward their Earned Income Tax. More information can be found under the Township’s Ordinance, Chapter 24, Sections 403 & 404.

Berkheimer bills and collects the Seneca Valley District Flat Occupation Tax. The Seneca Valley District Flat Occupation Tax is billed at the beginning of August each year.
