Criminal Fingerprinting
Jackson Township Police Department utilizes the Central Booking procedure formed and put in place in Butler County. Anyone who has been arrested on misdemeanor charges or greater, must be fingerprinted. If you have been arrested by Jackson Township Police Department you will receive an order from the courts advising that fingerprints must be taken. You must appear at one of two specified locations in the county to have the prints taken.
The two designated locations are:
1. Cranberry Township Police Department
2. Butler City Police Department
When you appear at the police station, you MUST have the following information with you:
- The fingerprint order that you received from the Magistrate’s Office
- Photo Identification: *(Valid Driver's License or Valid State Identification Card is preferred)
Individuals who do not possess photo identification at the time they appear at the station will not be fingerprinted.
Civil Fingerprinting
Employment fingerprinting will be performed by request for those individuals who need to be fingerprinted as part the hiring procedures for private employment. Those individuals who request to be fingerprinted for this purpose may call or stop by Jackson Township Police Station for this purpose. Again, valid photo identification is necessary. There is a fee for residents and a separate charge for non-residents for this service. Please see the fee schedule for more information.
